It is a rarity when you see Tigers Starter Justin Verlander leaving the game early, he is a pitcher that always goes more than six innings in each of his outings, against the Rangers he pitched his third shortest outing of his career and the Tigers lose to Texas 10-4.

Detroit looked real good early on, a three run third inning led by Don Kelly Homerun, his first of the season. The Rangers put seven in the bottom of the inning and Verlander's night was over. Verlander (4-4) gave up eight runs and six hits.

Jhonny Peralta hit his fourth homer of the season in the fourth inning a solo shot.
