Miguel Cabrera hit three home runs driving in five runs, and Prince Fielder drove in two runs, but it wasn't enough. The Texas Rangers answered each Tiger rally with one of their own. David Murphy hit a three run homer, and Texas scored four runs in the fifth and sixth innings and never looked back. Doug Fister went 4 2/3 innings for Detroit, giving up nine hits and five runs. Jose Ortega was tagged for four runs in relief for the loss, and Phil Coke surrendered two runs giving the Rangers the 11-8 victory. Texas takes three of four games to win the weekend series.
