Tigers drop from 1st in AL Central after loss to Jays, 8-3

The offensive struggles continued for the Detroit Tigers, thanks to knuckleballer R.A. Dickey as they fell behind 5-0 after three innings en route to an 8-3 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays on Canada Day in front of a sellout crowd of 45,766 at Rogers Centre.

Prince Fielder hit a solo home un to right on a 2-2 pitch from Dickey in the 4th inning and Victor Martinez followed with a double to right and came home on a ground-rule double to left by Omar Infante.

After falling a half game behind idle Cleveland, Detroit looks to regain their top spot in the AL Central division when they face Toronto again this Tuesday night at 7 pm.
