Michael Brantley’s two-run homerun in the 8th inning off Al Alburquerque helped Cleveland snap a seven-game skid against Detroit, whose five-game win streak was snapped, to give the Indians an 9-6 win over the Detroit Tigers to pull within 2 1/2 games of the AL Central division lead.

Torii Hunter had four RBIs and Miguel Cabrera homered and had four hits for Detroit, who lost to the Indians for just the fourth time in 15 games.

The Tigers will wrap up their 4-game series with Cleveland this Monday night at 7 pm before returning home to Comerica Park to face the Chicago White Sox this Tuesday to start a 3-game series.
