It took longer than most fans wanted, but with a 3-0 shutout of the Minnesota Twins at Comerica Park, the Detroit Tigers became the 2014 American League Central Division Champions. It is their fourth straight division title and they will move on to the ALDS to face the AL East champion Orioles this Thursday evening in Baltimore.

Even before taking the field to face Arizona, the St. Louis Cardinals were crowned 2014 National League Division Champions when Pittsburgh lost to Cincinnati, 4-1. After the Cardinals shut out the Diamondbacks, 1-0, they were able to celebrate & prepare themselves to face the NL West champion L.A. Dodgers in the NLDS.

With a 4-0 shutout of the Texas Rangers, the Oakland Athletics secured the 2nd wild card spot in the American League and will head to Kansas City to face the Royals this Tuesday night at 8 pm in the AL Wild Card Game.
