The Oregon Ducks were able to use a late second half run to pull away for an 83-66 win over the Detroit Titans as part of the Progressive Legends Classic at the Matthew Knight Arena.  UDM tied the game at halftime and midway through the 2nd half before the Ducks pulled away.  Senior forward Juwan Howard Jr. led Detroit with 16 points, five rebounds, & three assists while sophomore guard Jarod Williams finished with 15 points & three steals.  Anton Wilson contributed with 14 points & five rebounds.  The Titans will return to the state of Michigan for the regional round of the Progressive Legends Classic when they visit Ann Arbor to face the Wolverines this Thursday evening at 6 pm at Crisler Center.

The Michigan Wolverines defeated the Bucknell Bison, 77-53, in their first game of the Progressive Legends Classic inside Crisler Center.  Michigan was led by senior forward Max Bielfeldt, who scored a career-high 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting and made all three of his attempts from 3-point range.  Up next for the Wolverines is an in-state matchup against the Detroit Titans for their second game of the Progressive Legends Classic this Thursday night at 6 pm inside Crisler Center.

The Eastern Michigan Eagles improved to 2-0 on the season after defeating the Oakland Golden Grizzlies, 89-77, at the Convocation Center.  Raven Lee and Karrington Ward combined for 46 points to lead the Eagles to their highest point total against a Division I team since Rob Murphy took over as head coach.  EMU will remain in Ypsilanti to host a trio of games this weekend, beginning with the Horizon League's Youngstown State this Friday nigh at 7 pm while Oakland returns home to face another MAC & in-state opponent in Western Michigan this Wednesday night at 7 pm.

Meanwhile in women's basketball, Leah Somerfield scored a team-high 12 points off the bench, but it wasn't enough as the Oakland Golden Grizzlies fell hard to the Central Florida Knights, 98-65, at the CFE Arena in Orlando.  Oakland falls to 0-2 on the season and will return to action this Sunday evening as they play their home opener at 6 pm against Chicago State.
