Lions settle for 6th seed after loss to Green Bay, 30-20

Post  Admin on Mon Dec 29, 2014 2:44 am

Aaron Rodgers threw two touchdown passes to Randall Cobb and Eddie Lacy ran for 100 yards as the Green Bay Packers celebrated another NFC North division title with a 30-20 victory over the Detroit Lions.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford finished 20-of-41 for 217 yards for Detroit and Calvin Johnson was held to four catches for only 39 yards, but did record two touchdowns. Despite the outcome, the Lions will be making their second playoff appearance since 2000.

While the Packers (12-4) received a bye as the #2 seed in the NFC, Detroit (11-5) will begin the postseason next Sunday afternoon on the road when they take on the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC Wild Card game at 4:30 pm. If the Lions win, their next stop will be in Seattle.
