Detroit, Oakland, & Michigan State come away with victories

Three Titans scored in double figures as Detroit picked up their first Horizon League win of the season with a 70-65 victory over the UIC Flames at Calihan Hall.

Senior Ellisha Crosby led the way with 19 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Redshirt sophomore Rosanna Reynolds finished the night with 15 points with four rebounds, two assists, & two blocks and sophomore Minisha Frederick-Childress added 10 points & a season-high four steals.

The Titans will hit the road this Saturday afternoon when they travel to Cleveland State to face the Vikings at 2 pm at the Wolstein Center.

Kahlil Felder scored 20 points, along with 10 assists as the Oakland Golden Grizziles held on long enough the stun the Green Bay Phoenix, 69-66. Green Bay suffered their first loss in Horizon League play.

The Phoenix's Keifer Sykes missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer with 5 seconds left. Corey Petros scored 12 points and Tommie McCune added 11 points for Oakland.

Oakland (6-12, 2-2 HL) will remain at home this Sunday afternoon at 3 pm to face Albion while Green Bay will stop by Calihan Hall this Saturday afternoon to take on the Detroit Titans at 3 pm.
