Yoenis Cespedes and J.D. Martinez hit homeruns in the 6th inning to help the Detroit Tigers defeat the Chicago White Sox, 6-4, for their second straight win.

Starting pitcher Alfredo Simon (6-3) struck out seven batters and allowed four runs in eight innings for the Tigers while relief pitcher Joakim Soria earned his 16th save in 18 chances. Detroit finished with 10 hits with the middle of the order -- Cespedes, Tyler Collins and Martinez -- combining for eight hits and six RBIs.

After taking Monday off, the Tigers return home to Comerica Park to take on Chicago's other team, the Cubs, in a two-game interleague series, which begins this Tuesday night at 7 pm.
