Michigan State wins the Big Ten championship on 22-play drive

With one final stretch, freshman L.J. Scott reached the ball into the end zone for a touchdown with 27 seconds left to help the Michigan State Spartans become the 2015 Big Ten Champions with a 16-13 victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Quarterback Connor Cook led MSU (12-1) on a 22-play drive that set up Scott's 1-yard run on 3rd down and finished 16-of-32 with 191 yards.  Despite having no touchdowns and one interception, Cook still became the first player to be chosen the Big Ten MVP twice.

Scott ran 22 times for just 73 yards against a Hawkeye defense that stopped Michigan State on four consecutive snaps inside the Iowa 5 in the final two minutes before reaching in for the game winner.

All that awaits the Spartans now is to see where they will be placed in the College Football Playoffs, assuming the NCAA deems them worthy of that position.
