State women tear apart Oakland; U-M women fall to UCLA

Jasmine Hines scored a career-high 21 points as the Michigan State Spartans tore apart the Oakland Golden Grizzlies on the road, 82-62.

Branndais Agee had her first double-double this season with 13 points & 10 rebounds for Michigan State, who led in rebounds, 47-19. Aerial Powers scored 17 points and Tori Jankoska finished with 11 points.

Both teams will back on the court after the finals as the Spartans head to Northeastern to take on the Huskies this Friday night at 8 pm while Oakland travels to Chicago State next Saturday afternoon (Dec. 19) at 3 pm.

Monique Billings scored a career-high 20 points with 11 rebounds as the UCLA Bruins defeated the Michigan Wolverines, 86-77, in a rematch of last season's WNIT semifinal.

Hallie Thome scored 24 points and Katelynn Flaherty added 20 points for Michigan (7-2), who have lost two straight and their first at home.

Once the finals are over, the Wolverines will host Miami (OH) in Ann Arbor next Saturday afternoon (Dec. 19) at 2:30 pm.
